1971 CHEVELLE SS 454. This is an original SS 454 coupe with the correct code for a big block 454 engine. This 2 door Sports Coupe was built in Oshawa and came with with a TURBO 400 Automatic Transmission, 12 Bolt rear differential, 4:11Posi-trac. The original 454 engine has been upgraded to an LS6 450HP 454 Factory GM Crate engine which sports a high-performance solid lifter camshaft, with factory marked Hi Perf Pass Block and the correct XAA Stamping used during production of the open chamber LS6 454 Crate engines. It also has the factory correct aluminum intake and breather with the 450HP decal and a cowl induction hood, but no rubber induction boot. This is one of the truly great American muscle cars with a few added extras such as stainless-steel Hooker Competition Series exhaust headers with x-pipe and flow master mufflers, MSD ignition system and 3310-1 Holley carburetion. The vehicle also has add on air. It has a beautiful original set of factory black spoke wheels with an excellent set of Firestone Polys mounted on them. The vehicle has been garaged continuously and is very clean. The interior is also very clean with minimal wear. Underneath, the vehicle looks free of any major body, frame or structural repairs and one can see the brake lines and the fuel tank are among the many things that have been replaced on this vehicle. There are a number of parts including the original exhaust manifolds, ignition distributor, carb, owner's manuals etc that also go with this vehicle. It simply runs fantastic, very strong. I saw a few of these go for over 50 thousand at one of the big car auctions recently. Those cars were so perfectly clean they were almost sterilized.
